Swyddffynnon WI
Swyddffynnon WI was established in 1953 and has remained a small but active institute. We meet at the Centre on the first Monday of the month except Bank Holidays, with a break in August.
Our aim is to provide fun and friendship through a variety of activities and Community events, as can be seen from the current programme below and always with refreshments, of course.
Members also have the opportunity to take part in events organized by the County Federation, such as an annual quiz, treasure hunt, craft sessions and other one-off activities. Important social concerns are aired at the County Federation Council meetings and other special events, the National Federation AGM gives each institute an opportunity to vote on such issues.
Each member receives a copy of the WI magazine 8 times a year included in the annual subscription which is currently £45

‘Printers in the Sticks’
We are a small group of artists based at the Edward Richard Centre, Ystrad Meurig. We enjoy experimenting with all kinds of printmaking – from linoprints to lithographs and anything in between.
